Interesting about this job
Are you someone who enjoys supporting and guiding children? Do you have an affinity with other cultures and want to make a difference in the life of an eight-year-old boy? Then we are looking for you!
Job tasks and duties
For an eight-year-old Syrian boy, who lives with his family in an AZC in Groningen, we are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer who wants to help him with his schoolwork and do fun activities with him. It concerns three mornings a week of about 1.5 hours, during which you first do some schoolwork together and then do a fun activity. Would you like to help, but is three mornings too much? Then let us know too. We are happy to discuss!
The boy loves cross-biking, playing football, building with lego and playing with cars. He already speaks a little Dutch and his father speaks good English.
Job skills and qualities
- You have patience and enjoy working with children.
- You enjoy taking an active role in supervising school work (grades 4-5) and providing fun, educational activities.
- You have an interest in other cultures and are open-minded.
