Are you looking for a challenging volunteer position where you can have a positive impact on children's lives ? Then this vacancy as a homework supervisor at WIJ de Wijert is for you!

We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer who would like to contribute to the homework supervision of children from group 3 to 8. As a homework supervisor, you will identify the need for help and help children in small groups (maximum three children) with their maths homework. You also offer support in language skills. You also have contact with the parents and possibly the child's school through writing and e-mail. You will work with two other volunteers in a team and you will be supported by a WIJ staff member.

• Knowledge of primary school curriculum.
• At ease with guiding children in maths and language.
• Be familiar with the Living Room concept and the Social Competence Model or be open to learning this.
• Compatience, empathy and a positive approach to supporting children in their learning.
• Able, in a fun way, to provide structure to children when doing homework.
• Good communication and teaching skills.
• Able to work together in a team.
• Ability for at least one half-day a week (after school from 14:45 - 17:00).
