It is possible to do this in a volunteer programme but a participation job might also be a possibility. Here you work 16 hours a week and after six months you will receive a bonus of €100.00 per month worked from the SoZaWe. We can help you apply for this pathway.
At the moment, there is mainly room in the evenings but we can always see what is possible, should you only be able to do it during the day. But if you have time to work, say, from 4pm to 8pm or longer, then something is definitely possible. During the day the front desk staffing is pretty much up to scratch at the moment.
Job tasks and duties
Would you like to gain work experience in the hotel and hospitality industry in an international environment? At Simplon Hostel, we offer you a fun and sociable workplace. As a receptionist, you will be responsible for various administrative tasks, checking guests in and out, telephone and e-mail handling, cashier duties and light cleaning tasks.
During the day, we have a nice lunch together and from Tuesday to Saturday there will be a delicious soup prepared for you by our colleagues and neighbours from De Prael.
At the moment, we mainly have vacancies for the evening reception.
When you can only work during the day, we will be happy to offer you a job in the evening.
Should you only be able to attend during the day, we can discuss what is possible.
Job skills and qualities
- Your education is not important, your working level is.
- We are looking for a (guest) friendly colleague.
- It is nice if you have ééone foreign language (preferably English).
