Traffic is always dynamic and Vinkhuizen has a central function in Western district in the municipality's new plans. Lots of traffic flows converge. It is challenging to make the mix livability and accessibility as optimal as possible.
Job tasks and duties
Vinkhuizen is a neighbourhood with many residents and a lot of traffic: the Western Ring Road, Diamond Avenue, Siersteenlaan and Edelstaanlaan are main arteries. People cycle and walk there. Visitors and residents park their cars in car parks or on the street. Everyone participates in traffic from time to time. For the residents organisation of Vinkhuizen, Wijkoverleg Vinkhuizen, we are looking for an enthusiastic coordinator who wants to look after the interests of Vinkhuizers in the field of traffic and parking for the Traffic Working Group.
Tasks:
- Take initiatives to make traffic safer in our neighbourhood.
- Initiatives to keep Vinkhuizen accessible, but not much busier.
- Respond to intentions and plans of the municipality.
- Are willing to investigate and address traffic situations for cyclists and pedestrians.
- Attend the board meeting monthly.
Minimum education level: basisschool
Job skills and qualities
- Somewhat digitally literate: have access to a computer and email.
- Any willingness to familiarize yourself with traffic orders and traffic laws.
Extra information
The work requires about 4 hours a week.
