Our approachable voluntary organisation is an educational activity centre where we share knowledge and inspiration about a lifestyle close to nature and the world's multicolour. Our world yard in the centre of the Drenthe village of Vries also acts as a meeting place where the village garden and the open studio play an important role.

Together with the garden team, you will lead the garden moments. You have knowledge of vegetables and fruit, keep an overview of the vegetables that are sown and harvested, and you can divide tasks among the participants of the garden.
The position of gardener includes:
- Setting up and maintaining the village garden.
- Supervising the people who participate in the garden.
- Transfer knowledge.
- Planning the work.
Job skills and qualities
- We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about the vision and objective of Place the World.
- Has knowledge of gardening én of people.
- Handy and can think of creative solutions (we work in everything as low-budget and environmentally friendly as possible).
- Has a welcoming attitude and is willing to speak to visitors.
- At least one half-day per week, preferably on Thursday mornings.
