Friendship Circle Autism coordinator

The Autism Friendship Circle is a place where adults with autism can meet in a familiar environment. Under the guidance of two to three facilitators -including the coordinator- they have a fun Friday night every other week (in the odd weeks). For instance, the facilitators recently devised an escaperoom, there has been a tour of the Forum, a Crazy 88 will be plotted soon, and most recently two participants also organised a city walk together. The current volunteer coordinator will quit in the summer, so we are looking for a new Volunteer Coordinator for our Autism Friendship Circle.

The position:

• Recruiting new companions.
• Maintaining contact with companions.
• Maintaining contact with participants where necessary.
• Enrolling new participants.
• Planning the evenings together with the other supervisors.
• Contacting Humanitas, such as reserving rooms.
• Keeping track of income (from membership fees) and expenses.

• Someone who is good at organising and keeping an overview, while being able to let things go and also give the facilitators space to share and implement ideas.
• Affinity with the target group.
• Someone who enjoys coming up with new activities together with others.
• Someone who expects to commit to the Friendship Circle for at least a year.
• Some one who can be present at the VK on Friday evenings (approx. between 7 pm and 9.30 pm) in the odd weeks, and also has a few hours per month left for other activities.
