As a regional volunteer Drenthe/Groningen you are a member of the regional volunteer team. Together with your team, you give children with a serious illness resilience by fulfilling their dearest wish, directly or indirectly. As a regional volunteer, you do this mainly by supporting, initiating and developing wonderful fundraising activities in your region, mainly through parties from the warm Make-A-Wish network. You are proactive, alert and see opportunities.
We think it is important that you are well prepared as a volunteer. Therefore, we have developed a special training programme. After a (live) introduction day, you get access to the online Make-A-Wish Academy. There, in your personal learning path, you will find all the information you need to start working with confidence. You will also get unlimited access to Goodhabitz's training platform. This gives you the opportunity for personal development in a variety of areas. Your expenses will be reimbursed and you will be invited to our annual Kids' Night.
Job tasks and duties

- You enjoy supporting and further developing new fundraising initiatives in your own region.
- You approach companies, schools and events from Make-A-Wish's warm network in your region.
- You inform these target groups about Make-A-Wish and enthuse them to take action.
- You ensure the warm connection with existing relations of Make-A-Wish.
- If possible, you also enthuse your own network to take action for Make-A-Wish.
- You help where necessary at an action/event, receive cheques and personally thank the campaigners for their efforts.
- A few times a year you will be directly involved in a wish pick-up or wish fulfillment.
Minimum education level: hbo/wo
Job skills and qualities
- You are entrepreneurial, easily approach warm contacts and see opportunities.
- You know how to enthuse others and encourage them to take action.
- You know how to inspire groups such as students, companies, service clubs, etc. through presentations and enjoy doing so.
- You know how to get your network into action and, together with your team members, create even more brand awareness and income for Make-A-Wish.
- You know your way around the digital world.
- You are in possession of a driving licence and car.
You are available about 6 hours a week and flexible. Activities take place both during the week and at weekends, during the day or in the evenings. You will take part in meetings of the volunteer team in your region and attend the training courses offered that belong to your role.
