Job tasks and duties
The Red Cross helps people in need. We do so around the corner and far away. In the Groningen region, we are active with first aid stations at events, first aid lessons, emergency assistance at disasters and calamities.
In order to ensure that all our relief workers have the right equipment on time during deployments, the Groningen district is immediately looking for a Logistics Driver.
What will you do, working as part of a team?
- The logistical preparation of events. In doing so, you will work closely with the Event Support Department. That is, you will ensure that the right material gets to the right place.
- Bringing and collecting materials before, after or during an event. You do this with our vehicles.
- Helping set up the tent and setting up first aid posts.
- Storage of materials in an orderly, organised and tidy way and keeping stocks in the warehouse.
Minimum education level: lbo/mavo/vmbo
Job skills and qualities
Who are you?
- You are used to working independently, accurately and neatly.
- You have a positive attitude.
What will you bring?
- You have a Comprehensive First Aid certificate (or similar) or you are willing to get this certificate.
- You hold at least a B driving licence (BE is a pré) and have experience driving a (passenger) van.
- You are physically able to lift and move (heavy) materials.
- You have knowledge of the material or are willing to learn about it.
