Interesting about this job
- You contribute to better knowledge about adult autism, from the perspective of people with autism themselves.
- You work exclusively with other autistic adults. We are one of the few organisations in the Netherlands where this is possible. Our working methods are geared to autistic traits.
- You will be part of a team of more than 45 autistic adults. You will get to know new people with autism.
- You will be clearly told what is expected of you. We work with written out job descriptions and guidelines.
- You can do this volunteer work from home, from anywhere in the Netherlands. All contact is via e-mail, WhatsApp and Zoom.
Job tasks and duties
Autism Digital is active on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Linktree. As coördinator, you will lead the working group that develops and posts the content for these. There are volunteers who write texts and design images; you don't have to do all this yourself. Like any coördinator, you will be supported and managed by the director, with whom you can always consult.
- You will post or schedule something on our social media channels several times a week.
- You manage the 4-5 volunteers of the social media working group and give them tasks.
- You make analyses of our various social media channels and adjust your strategy accordingly.
- You meet once every two months with the working group (max 1 hour); you lead and prepare for the meeting.
- You participate in the coördinators' meeting once a month (max. 1 hour).
Job skills and qualities
We especially invite young people (18+) to apply for this vacancy.
- You have experience with social media, at least privé and preferably with an organisation.
- You can work well independently and take action yourself without needing to be reminded.
- You can communicate timely and clearly via whatsapp, email and zoom.
- You have experience with Canva (or are willing to learn).
- Experience in leadership in a professional or voluntary context is an advantage but not a requirement.
Because we are an organisation for and by autistic adults, we do not accept volunteers who are under 18 or who are not autistic themselves. This allows us to ensure volunteer experience placements for autistic adults and our activities remain based on our own experience of having autism as an adult.
Extra information
Are you interested? Then contact our director, Frederik Boven. He will contact you within 24 hours to make an appointment for an interview via Zoom. This interview will take about 35-40 minutes. If you feel comfortable, someone you know may be present during the interview. If you feel like it, you can get the questions in advance. On the one hand, this interview serves to get to know you and see if the position suits you. On the other hand, we will give more information about the position and our organisation.
