Do you love reading and language? Would you like to help children with their language development? Then free up an hour once a week to enjoy reading with a child. Our reading aloud volunteers are active throughout the city. You indicate in which neighbourhoods you want to read aloud and what age you prefer.
A reading aloud volunteer helps primary school children with their language development in a playful way and introduces them to the joy of reading. You can do this by reading aloud, talking about the story and their own experiences and playing games.
Parents are present during the reading aloud hour and you involve them as much as possible.
We are at the link and you can come to us for questions, there is an introductory meeting and theme meetings for knowledge and exchange. You are available for at least one (school) year, because we want the child to be able to feel this way that it is worthwhile.
