Job skills and qualities
- Have an affinity with elderly people with dementia.
- Compatible, sociable, a friendly appearance and a healthy dose of humour are ingredients you'll need in this voluntary work.
- You should also have some stamina and be flexible.
- Some knowledge and experience of dealing with these residents is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
Extra information
We are asking for a volunteer who can spare half an hour to an hour once or twice a week, at a time at your convenience.
One of our residents is asking for a buddy to walk with, preferably for an hour twice a week.
This is a friendly gentleman with some memory problems, who is good at walking, likes to go outside for a while and enjoys company.
