The contact with a dynamic group of enthusiastic youth is great fun. After their year in the Netherlands, the contacts usually continue; you build an international circle of acquaintances. The challenges the students (and with them the supervisors) face are instructive and interesting.
Job tasks and duties
Every year, 15 students come to the northern Netherlands for a school year through AFS, a non-profit exchange organisation. Here, they get to know our country intensively as additional family members of a welcoming family and by participating in school and local associations. During their experience, the AFS-ers are accompanied by a group of volunteers and activities are organised for them. We are looking for new volunteers for the activities team.
Minimum education level: mbo
Job skills and qualities
- Enthusiasm and empathy.
- Affinity with the target group (young people between 15-18 and their host families).
- Organisational skills.
- Reliable.
- Able to handle confidential information.
