Are you sociable and enjoy creating a welcoming and sociable environment for parents? Do you have an affinity with supporting parents in parenting and would you like to be the first point of contact? Then this job as a living room volunteer is for you!

As a living room volunteer, you are the heart of our meeting place for parents of children and young people up to 23 years old. You will welcome parents with open arms and ensure a warm welcome. Main tasks:

• Function as the first point of contact for parents visiting our living room.
• Create a cosy, familiar and safe atmosphere where parents feel at ease.
• Informing new parents about the living room and the activities organised.
• Encourage and support parents in organising activities and meeting each other.
• Ensure parents' privacy and respect their personal space.
• Providing coffee and tea at the venue and getting groceries when necessary.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the living room and keeping the toys clean.

• You are pedagogically sound.
• If you speak Arabic, that is an advantage.
• Easy to make contact, friendly and helpful.
• Communicatively strong; able to listen, summarise and ask questions.
• Integer; able to handle confidential information well.
• Consider the role of hostess/volunteer living room.
• Participate in meetings if necessary.
• At least two half-days a week available.
