.Job tasks and duties
The Floreshuis is looking for a cleaner for a minimum of 8 hours (m/f). As a cleaner, you will ensure that visitors to Het Floreshuis enjoy a fresh and clean community centre. You will perform cleaning duties within the various rooms (halls, offices, sanitary facilities, kitchen, general areas).
Doing cleaning and housekeeping duties in all areas of Het Floreshuis with the aim of keeping the building clean. You will be trained by a cleaning company how to clean properly and professionally. If all this goes well, you can be transferred to another location after eight weeks and then get a contract for a minimum of 25 hours.
As a cleaner;
- You will perform cleaning tasks within the various rooms (halls, offices, sanitary facilities, kitchen, general areas).
- Collecting waste and dirt and making sure it is cleaned up.
- Make sure the rooms are handed over clean to the tenants .
- After use, you check, in cooperation with colleagues, whether the tenants have left the room tidy.
- Signalling any damage and defects to the building and reporting them to the manager on duty.
- Help with the dishes.
- Care for the cleaning and maintenance of the floors using a scrubber.

Neighbourhood centre Floreshuis is housed in the Indische buurt/Korrewegwijk neighbourhood in Groningen. The Floreshuis wants to be ‘the house of the neighbourhood’s. A place where everyone is welcome and where you can be yourself together. We want to be of significance for everyone who wants something or wants to make the neighbourhood more beautiful. We support or help these people. We want to make things possible. The Floreshuis does not organise activities itself, but encourages, facilitates and supports neighbourhood residents who come up with initiatives and ideas. We provide a stage and support for local residents who organise their own activities.
