Job tasks and duties
At Ixta Noa Groningen we offer lunch and conversation opportunities for people with eating disorders.
We are looking for people who have recovered from an eating disorder, and find it ''fun'' to use their experiences to support other people.
What you do is:
- offering a listening ear at the drop-in, "being there" for visitors, playing a game together at the table.
- Individual conversations with visitors as needed.
- Provide individual counselling to visitors with eating disorder vulnerabilities.
- Assisting in/organising complementary activities such as creative activities, cooking, theme afternoons and the like.
- Administrative tasks such as writing daily reports.
- Housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, washing dishes.
- Times are from 10:30- 15:00.
Job skills and qualities
- For this vacancy, specific experience with a vulnerability in the field of eating disorders.
- Have recovered sufficiently from vulnerability to be able to support others in this.
- In empathy.
- Socially skilled.
- Able to work one half-day per week.
- Able to go through mandatory training and education.
