Job tasks and duties
At Ixta Noa Groningen, we offer lunch and opportunities for discussion for people with eating disorders.
We are looking for people who have recovered from an eating disorder and enjoy using their experiences to support others.
Your role will be:
- Offering a listening ear at drop-in sessions, being there for visitors, and playing a game together at the table.
- Holding individual conversations with visitors as needed.
- Providing individual guidance to visitors with eating disorder vulnerabilities.
- Supporting/organizing additional activities such as creative activities, cooking, theme afternoons, and the like.
- Administrative tasks such as writing a daily report.
- Household duties such as vacuuming and washing dishes.
- Hours are 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM.
Job skills and qualities
- This vacancy specifically requires experience with eating disorders.
- Sufficient recovery from this vulnerability to support others in this area.
- Empathy.
- Social skills.
- Willingness to work one half day per week.
- Willingness to complete mandatory training and education.
