PR officer

Neighbourhood Centre/Activities Centre Probe 2000 is looking for a nice colleague to fill, on a voluntary basis, the position of PR officer. We are looking for someone who can work well in a team as well as individually. Someone who puts the interests of the community centre first and actively tries to think along to put the community centre in the spotlight as much as possible. An employee who does not think in terms of problems but positively explores solutions and possibilities. As PR officer, you are the centre's "calling card" and you cultivate contacts with activity leaders, visitors, interested parties and your colleagues. You inform/promote through media channels both digitally (website, Facebook, Nexdoor, etc.) and physically (neighbourhood newspapers, flyers, posters, etc.). Although promoting, profiling, maintaining and supporting are your main tasks, the underlying aim will always be to stimulate the social bonds within your neighbourhood.

• Good command of Dutch language both verbal and written, capable writer is an advantage.
• Skilled in the use of various programmes or willing to learn them including: CorelDRAW, Excel, PowerPoint, Paint, editing websites etc.
• Has an affinity for designing promotional materials such as posters and flyers.
• Know how to utilise media such as; Facebook, WhatsApp, Nextdoor, newspapers and magazines to promote the community centre.
• Has experience in taking photos or videos.
• Has some knowledge of audio-visual equipment.
• You are open to criticism and are not afraid to offer constructive criticism.
• You have a connection with the socio-cultural field.
