Leading various game branches

Are you an enthusiastic and energetic, looking for a new challenge, where you will have the opportunity to be meaningful in the municipality of Westerkwartier for the development of children and young people?
In Scouting, we work with different age groups called speltakken. Each speltak has its own programme, based on the game vision of Scouting Netherlands. This vision is based on the growth and development of children and young people. In the older speltakken, respect and cooperation play a central role and the oldest speltakken are guided in organising activities independently.
The leaders of the various speltakken not only draw up the programme, but also guide and support the boys and girls in their personal development.To maintain the quality of the programme and to introduce more children from the Westerkwartier to Scouting, we are looking for extra leaders.
As a leader, you and your fellow leaders will devise a fun programme each week for a mixed group of 15 to 30 children.
The age of the groups for this vacancy varies from 5 to 7 years old (Beavers), 7 to 11 years old (Cubs) or 11 to 15 years old (Scouts). In addition, you will organise several camps during the scouting year.

• You have an affinity for working with children.
• You are enthusiastic and can convey this to the children.
• You are able to work together and take responsibility for the activities and the children.
• You are able to prepare a fun programme for the children and camps together with the co-leaders.

Important:

• You endorse the objectives and internal regulations of Scouting Nederland.
• You are at least 18 years old or older.
• You are willing to dedicate yourself to this job and to continue learning in this field.
• You are available on Saturdays from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm (Beavers, Cubs) or from 3 pm to 6.30 pm.
• Experience with scouting is not necessary; being willing to attend training sessions so that you can lead the target group properly is sufficient.
