Job tasks and duties
Wijkwerken is an initiative of WerkPro. It employs people who receive employment support for various reasons. We think it is important that you can develop yourself further and participate in society. With us, you can work, among other things, in the management of many neighbourhood centres and at Vensterschools in the city. There are many different activities to do in these centres.
- Greet visitors and give them directions within the premises.
- Informing visitors about the activities within Bernlef.
- Answering the phone and making any appointments.
- Doing light administrative work.
- You have a signalling function.
- You provide guests with coffee/tea.
- You keep the folder cupboards in order.
- Doing minor cleaning tasks and looking after the reception area.
- In a participation job, you work a minimum of 16 hours a week.
Job skills and qualities
- You have good social skills.
- You have a listening ear and can empathise well with another.
- You can deal with elderly people and are aware of their vulnerability.
- You are stress-resistant and can work carefully,
- You can work both independently and as part of a team,

Extra information
The position can also be filled through a Participation Job route or another route through the Social Service of the municipality of Groningen or through a route from the UWV. A combination of working and learning is also possible.
