Employee working group on collective advocacy

zavie • job opening nr. 13160

Interesting about this job

Our collective advocacy working group addresses these issues by joining existing activities, but there is also scope to develop new activities.

Job tasks and duties

Everyone has or will have to deal with care or support at some point. As a loved one or informal carer, you have probably experienced care from your GP, district nurse, hospital or municipal support. Perhaps this care or support has made you think: Can't this be done differently or better? Or are you interested in how care can be improved and would you like to contribute? Then we are looking for you!

Would you like to strengthen our collective advocacy working group?

In the coming year, we also want to focus on digital accessibility. This is to ensure that everyone can continue to participate in this increasingly digital world. Another topic is experiential expertise. We want experience experts to have their own role in supporting residents in our province.
Our working group on collective advocacy is committed to these topics by joining existing activities, but there is also room to develop new ones.

Job skills and qualities

Do you have knowledge of or interest in these topics and want to do something with them?
We will look together at what suits you. What is important is that you are able and willing:

  • Collaborate in a small group of people.
  • Contribute to plans and their implementation.
  • You will not be paid in cash, but you will be reimbursed for actual travel and other expenses.
  • You can use your knowledge and experience and contribute to something that benefits others.
  • You can cooperate, make contacts and thus expand your network.

Extra information

We are three cooperating organisations concerned with everyone in our province who is affected by care and/or support: patients, clients, their relatives, informal carers, people with mental, intellectual or physical disabilities, the chronically ill and senior citizens. Individually and together, we carry out numerous projects that contribute to enabling them to take better control of their lives and care, én to participate better in society.

We organise informative meetings (e.g. of the Academie Zorgbelang), enter into dialogue with care providers, policymakers and insurers, conduct research into the experiences and wishes of residents in our province and carry out all kinds of projects to improve their position. Topics we deal with include mobility and the UN disability convention.
