Head of Children's Holiday Weeks

Some children from the provinces of Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe are unable to go on holiday for medical, financial or social reasons. Especially for these children, Humanitas organises holiday weeks during the summer holidays.
A team of executive volunteers offers the children a wonderful holiday week. These volunteers guide the children, provide the programme with lots of fun activities, relaxation and fun at the holiday location.
A total of 10 weeks are organised, of which 2 weeks are for children who could use some extra guidance.
The Children's Holiday Weeks are organised by a project group. During the week itself, there are volunteers who each have a group of children under their care. In addition, there are head leaders at the holiday location who are responsible for the overall ins and outs during the holiday weeks. They support the volunteers and ensure that everything runs smoothly and that the children have a great week. There are two lead volunteers per holiday week. We are urgently looking for:
Main Lead Children's Holiday Weeks, the tasks:

• You are responsible - together with your colleague - for the smooth running of the holiday week.
• You ensure, together with all the other volunteers, that children have a wonderful and carefree week.
• You are the contact person for the children's holiday weeks.
• You are the point of contact for the volunteers in case of questions, particularities or emergencies.
• You ensure daily evaluation moments with the volunteers.
• You are the contact person for the project group and inform them of relevant developments.
• You manage the budget for the holiday week.

• You are aware of extreme behaviour and know how to deal with it from work/internship experience
• You are creative, inventive and patient, but can also intervene and take action.
• You are sociable, driven and know how to enthuse and motivate people.
• You have a natural superiority and can make decisions where necessary.
• You have a sense of responsibility towards the children, their parents and the volunteers.
• You have good oral and written communication skills.
You are willing to attend training courses necessary for this position.
• An application for Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is mandatory.
• You are at least 18 years old.
