As a study buddy, you can make a difference to a fellow student. Perhaps the difference between passing or failing subjects, but what we hope above all is that you can help someone get through their studies with a little less stress.
Job tasks and duties
Humanitas' Study Buddies project is for students (mbo-, hbo-, or university level) who could use some help studying. For example as a result of psychological problems. Students who enjoy helping a fellow student with their studies can become a study buddy.
The aim is a friendly contact, in which you do not help substantively with the study (so it is not about tutoring), but mainly support the other person in the study rhythm. Think for example of helping them make a schedule, and making appointments to study together.
Some of the time you spend together can therefore also be spent on your own studies in most cases. Furthermore, it is up to you together to figure out how you will organise this buddy contact, such as where, how often, how long, and what exactly you will help with. Of course, you will always have a coordinator as a contact person to talk to if you can't figure it out yourself.
Job skills and qualities
Students who enjoy helping a fellow student with their studies can become a study buddy. Are you good at bringing order out of chaos, and planning? Totally great!
