Job tasks and duties
As an intermediary, you help children from families with a narrow budget. In our experience, it is rewarding work. Many families are happy with our help and the arrival of an intermediary during a home visit. This also makes us happy ourselves.
In this position, you focus mainly on villages and cores of the former municipality of Ten Boer.
- You will contact the client by phone to hear their (assistance) question and make an appointment with the client for a home visit.
- You go on a home visit to the client and discuss what Leergeld can do for the family.
- You will build a "file" and submit an application to the office of Leergeld.
- You are available for a minimum of 12 hours per week. For a participation job, there is a minimum of 16 hours per week.
- You will liaise with schools, service and assistance organisations.
People can apply for financialële support for education, financing a school or cultural trip or supplementing book fees, for example. Furthermore, sports, music lessons or other leisure activities can be requested. An average home visit lasts from half an hour to an hour.
Minimum education level: mbo
Job skills and qualities
- You make contact easily or are willing to learn to do so.
- You have good Dutch speaking skills.
- You are a good listener.
Extra information
This vacancy is partly new. The intermediary who served this work area has moved on to a paid position.
In addition, the intention is to maintain good contacts with organisations outside the city of Groningen. This is an additional component for vacancy.
