The team committed within Together Groningen is enthusiastic and pulls together in providing a safe place for parents, children and volunteers to flourish. Led by a location coordinator, the team invests in the children. There is also a parent coach who coaches the parent group. As a volunteer, you get the chance to use and develop your talents, be part of a team and watch children grow.
Job tasks and duties
- You have a passion for learning and will provide language and/or school support to children/young people from the Selwerd, Vinkhuizen and surrounding areas.
- You will ensure that there is safety and respect within the group of children assigned to you.
- You are part of an enthusiastic team.
Duties:
- Giving language support and/or support at school this includes helping children increase their vocabulary and doing reading hours with them.
- You will be assigned a small group (max 4 children) with whom you will play games and read books, among other things.
Minimum education level: lbo/mavo/vmbo
Job skills and qualities
- You are social.
- You are independent.
- You are reliable.
- You can connect with children.
- You have an affinity with different cultures.
- You have a passion for learning.
What else we expect from you:
- You are available at least one and a half hours a week on Monday and/or Tuesday and/or Wednesday afternoon.
- You are available for at least six months.
