Job tasks and duties
Forma Aktua is a gallery located in the bustling city centre of Groningen. In our premises, we offer a stage to both established and starting artists from the North. The gallery is run by 20 enthusiastic volunteers who together organise 10 exhibitions a year. A chairman, a treasurer, a secretary and two general board members. The board meets once every four weeks. The position of chairman is vacant.
What does a chairman do?
Maintains a relationship with the cultural field in the North.
Takes care of the proper functioning of the board together with the fellow board members.
Provides for a good working atmosphere within the gallery.
Presents the gallery to the outside world.
Welcomes guests at openings or other activities with an official character.
Holds (if necessary) an opening speech, a word of thanks or introduction.
Minimum education level: hbo/wo
