At ZINN, everything revolves around attention – for residents, employees and volunteers. As a volunteer, you are part of an energetic organization. Attention is paid to the development and growth of volunteers. We treat you to an end-of-year gift, offer fun and informative meetings and the opportunity to follow training courses via ZINN free of charge.
Job tasks and duties
Every Wednesday afternoon, residents of residential care facility De Brink in Groningen play Jeu de Boules. As a volunteer, you supervise this activity:
- You ensure that everything is ready and cleaned up afterwards.
- You support residents during the game.
- You keep track of the points.
- Together with other volunteers, you ensure a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
- Your efforts ensure that residents can enjoy a pleasant afternoon together.

Job skills and qualities
- People-oriented and social: You are aware of the needs of the elderly target group and are able to connect.
- Knowledge of the target group: preferably you have experience with or knowledge of the elderly, for example people with dementia or somatic conditions.
- Commitment: you are willing to commit yourself to others and enjoy working together in a team of volunteers and professionals.
- Patience and respect: you respect the wishes and boundaries of the residents and offer them the care and attention they deserve.
