Public forester in the Valley of the Ruiten Aa

Naturemonumenten is looking for volunteer public foresters for nature reserve the Valley of the Ruiten Aa.
Do you enjoy being outdoors and would you like to engage in conversation with our visitors? Then we are looking for you!
We think it is important to make our visitors aware of the value and importance of nature. The more people are involved the better we can manage and preserve our areas. And you can help us with that.

Together with a colleague public forester you will work in and around the Valley of the Ruiten Aa with a cargo bike full of nature discoveries, leaflets, binoculars and a telescope to inform and enthuse our visitors.

In the middle of the nature reserve you will (spontaneously) enter into conversation with visitors, give tips for walking and cycling routes, tell fascinating nature stories and ask whether visitors are interested in a membership. We would also like to organise a number of small-scale activities (at fixed times and locations) for children during the school holidays. 
Help us when it is convenient for you:
The volunteer public foresters will mainly be active during weekends and school holidays. These are the times when there are often many visitors in our nature reserves.

In consultation with the group coördinator,the schedule is determined. We provide a fixed contact person, clear information and offer training to keep your knowledge up-to-date. We ask you to be active at least six times a year as a public forester for Natuurmonumenten.
