Then become a volunteer at our meeting place in Groningen South.

Our meeting place is a place for everyone from the neighbourhood. It is cosy and you meet other visitors. Visitors can go there for a cup of coffee, a chat or to ask for help. Visitors can also take a course at the meeting place. These relate, for example, to money and regulations, physical health, healthy eating, job search, social media, friendship, etc.

Job tasks and duties

  • Help in meal preparations, table setting and tidying up.
  • Pouring coffee and tea, tidying a room.
  • One shopping.

As a volunteer, you will work with a companion from Philadelphia.

Job skills and qualities

  • You enjoy interacting with people. 
  • You chat easily.
  • You see the work ahead and want to get down to business. 
  • You are honest, reliable and have a neat appearance.
  • You are caring and considerate. 

Extra information

  • The meeting place is at the Heymans Centre, every Tuesday from 10am to 12pm.
  • We are also looking for a volunteer to support the activity cooking and eating together every Thursday from 4pm to 7pm in the Heymans Centre.
