Noorderzon Festival of Performing Arts & Society is the combination of an international arts festival featuring exciting contemporary performing arts from all parts of the world.... as well as a grand summer festival in a freely accessible park.
Everyone is welcome to visit the festival, or come to work. As a crew you can help in various ways to make the 34th edition of Noorderzon a success, for example as a Volunteer Sales & Info. Below you can read exactly what this position entails.
The 34th edition of Noorderzon will take place from 22 August - 1 September 2024!
Job tasks and duties
We sell all performance tickets ourselves, unless the performance is free. For the most part, this is done through our website. During the festival, there are a number of other sales points set up where audiences can physically buy tickets. One of these points is the shop, which is also an information point for performances and other questions. Here we also sell merchandise or other fun items related to Noorderzon and/or the performances.
Job skills and qualities
- You are sociable and can communicate clearly with our visitors.
- You are friendly and approachable to our visitors.
- You are reliable and keep appointments and schedules.
- You are a team player and can work well together with other volunteers and crew, but you can also work well independently.
The minimum age for working within the (ticket) sales at Noorderzon is 16 years. Only for the evening shifts you must be at least 18.
Extra information
Do you work at least 3 shifts? Then we will give you a free ticket to a performance at the festival. Do you work during meal times? Then you can join us for dinner. Do you enjoy making contact with our audience, informing them about our programme and selling tickets? Then this is your place as a volunteer within our festival.
