Noorderzon Festival of Performing Arts & Society is the combination of an international arts festival featuring exciting contemporary performing arts from all parts of the world.... as well as a grand summer festival in a freely accessible park.
Everyone is welcome to visit the festival, or come to work. As a crew, you can help in various ways to make the 34th edition of Noorderzon a success, for example as a Volunteer Technician. Below you can read exactly what this position entails.
The 34th edition of Noorderzon will take place from 22 August - 1 September 2024!
Job tasks and duties
Mostly we provide our own technology for our performances during Noorderzon. Each performance location works with a professional technique team, consisting of a stage manager and light & sound crew. In addition to this crew, we are looking for volunteers to support us. You mainly help with setting up and dismantling the performances and sometimes you also have a function during the performance. All this is supervised by the stage manager on site.
Job skills and qualities
For this position, (some) knowledge of theatre technology is of course a plus, but even if you are interested in studying theatre technology, we definitely have a place for you.
The minimum age for working within the technology at Noorderzon is 16 years. Only for the evening shifts you must be at least 18.
Extra information
Do you work at least 3 shifts? Then we will give you a free ticket to a performance at the festival. Do you work during meal times? Then you can join us for dinner. You will also receive a number of tokens for each day you work.
