In Blauwbörgje live people who need a lot of care and support due to dementia or mental illness. The home is also a good place for people who can't get around as well elsewhere.
Many of our residents enjoy being creative. Especially for young residents with dementia, it is important to stimulate them mentally. Crafting is a fun way to do that! Together with another volunteer, you will do crafts with a resident, or several residents (if there is enthusiasm for it).
Job tasks and duties
- On Wednesday mornings, once a fortnight, you will do crafts with a resident. This can also be a small group of residents, if there is interest in this from the residents, yourself and the other volunteer.
- You come up with a fun craft project, according to the wishes of the resident(s), together with the other volunteer.
- You have coffee on Wednesdays and then spend an hour doing crafts. You clean up together after that time.
Job skills and qualities
- Compent.
- Social; you make contact easily.
- Creative; you enjoy arts and crafts.
- Experience in contact with elderly people is a plus.
- Experience with dementia is a plus, but certainly not a prerequisite.
