Job tasks and duties
WelZINN offers an extensive program, focused on the well-being of the elderly. Attention is paid to art, music and culture. We organize recurring activities, organize theme weeks and participate in various projects. Volunteer work in elderly care is incredibly diverse!
As a painting activity supervisor, you support residents during a creative afternoon at residential care location De Brink. You help with:
- Preparing materials.
- Serving coffee and tea.
- Offering attention and conviviality.
- Supporting painting.
The residents paint with acrylic paint, color in coloring books or work with paint-by-numbers. They already have some experience and enjoy this creative outlet.
Job skills and qualities
What do we ask?
- People-oriented and social: You have an eye for the needs of the elderly target group and are able to connect.
- Knowledge of the target group: preferably you have experience with or knowledge of the elderly, for example people with dementia or somatic conditions.
- Commitment: you are willing to commit yourself to others and enjoy working together in a team of volunteers and professionals.
- Patience and respect: you respect the wishes and boundaries of the residents and offer them the care and attention they deserve.
