Job tasks and duties
For residential care location De Es (Groningen) and residential care location De Dilgt (Haren) we are looking for enthusiastic supervisors for the wheelchair bus transport of the Buurthuiskamers. In the Buurthuiskamers of ZINN, elderly people from the neighborhood come together for a pleasant daytime activity. The people can spend the day under expert supervision and in a homely atmosphere.
We are looking for volunteer drivers and supervisors (co-drivers). As a co-driver, you support the driver in picking up the visitors.
''The ride is much more than taking visitors from A to B. A ride is full of valuable contact moments and conviviality. You really get to know the visitors. Together with my colleague, I ensure a familiar and good atmosphere on the way''.
ZINN wheelchair buses are used to transport visitors to and from the Buurthuiskamer. As a volunteer, you pick up and drop off visitors to the Buurthuiskamer. The rides are between 8:30-10:30 and/or 15:30-17:00. We ask for at least 1 half day availability per week.
For this function you will receive a volunteer allowance.
Job skills and qualities
What do we ask?
- People-oriented and social: You have an eye for the needs of the elderly target group and are able to connect.
- Knowledge of the target group: preferably you have experience with or knowledge of the elderly, for example people with dementia or somatic conditions.
- Patience and respect: you respect the wishes and boundaries of the visitors.
- Furthermore, you have a strong sense of responsibility and of course you are in possession of a B driving license.
