Do you have a passion for second-hand clothes ? Do you like to browse the thrift store for hidden treasures? Do you have an understanding of (vintage) clothes and know the value of clothes?
The thrift shops of GoudGoed collect usable goods. Goods are delivered to drop-off points or collected (free of charge). Anything still usable is sorted and repaired if necessary. The items will be priced and sold in one of the GoudGoed thrift shops.
Do you want to commit to a circular fashion industry and contribute to reducing waste? Then we are looking for you! We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help us pick out and price clothes.
Our textile project carefully selects rejected textiles for shop quality. We supply several thrift shops within our organisation. We could use some help with this!
Job tasks and duties
- Selecting clothes: you have an eye for good second-hand clothes and know what can be sold in a thrift shop.
- Compiling varied racks: you ensure that the racks that go to our thrift shops are always varied and estimate the value of the clothes.
- Determining the price: together with the team of work supervisors, you determine the fair price for the items, estimate by value, taking into account sustainability and circular principles.
Minimum education level: lbo/mavo/vmbo
Job skills and qualities
- Passion for (vintage) clothing, sustainability and circular economy.
- Creative and an eye for detail.
- You have a passion for second-hand clothing and know what you are talking about.
- Able to confidently set prices and work with products that deserve a second life.
- Social and committed to the bigger picture of social enterprise.
