Poets in the Prince's Garden is an annual poetry festival in and around the Prince's Garden in Groningen. This year it will take place from 26 to 29 June. As a buddy for blind and partially sighted festival visitors, you can experience the festival yourself, while ensuring that someone with a visual impairment can also come to the festival. This way you give someone a great day and hopefully have a super fun day yourself!

Job tasks and duties

As a buddy for blind and partially sighted festival visitors, you will spend the entire evening (June 26 or 27) or afternoon (June 28 or 29) with someone with a visual impairment. You will accompany those visitors to the programs that they want to visit, help them find a spot, get a drink, describe the surroundings if desired/necessary to understand the program. Above all, you will hopefully have a nice and pleasant day together.A buddy for blind and visually impaired festival visitors, you will walk with someone with a visual impairment throughout the evening (26 or 27 June) or afternoon (28 or 29 June). You will go with those visitors to the programmes the person wants to visit, help them find a spot, get a drink, describe the surroundings if wanted/needed for understanding the programme. Above all, you will hopefully have a nice and enjoyable day together.

Job skills and qualities

Hospitality, friendliness, patience and some knowledge of visual impairments is an advantage, but not necessary.
