Every Tuesday afternoon from 1:30 PM to approximately 6:00 PM there is an activity for migrant women aged 60 and over. This activity offers a pleasant meeting place where women can come together in their own language, do activities that appeal to them and enjoy a small meal or snack, prepared by volunteers.
Approximately 20 to 30 elderly people come each week, supported by volunteers and a permanent employee.
Job tasks and duties
You help by:
- Managing volunteers.
- Supporting the devising, preparing and executing of activities.
- Attention for both the elderly and the volunteers.
- Keeping track of attendance and expenses for the activities.
- Occasionally participating in meetings outside of Tuesday afternoon.
Minimum education level: lbo/mavo/vmbo
Job skills and qualities
What do we ask?
- Affinity with the target group.
- A proactive attitude and taking initiative.
- Good social and communication skills.
- Stress resistance.
- Knowledge of Arabic and/or Turkish is a plus, but not a must!
