With 9 paid employees, approximately 85 volunteers and an average of 400 women per week, Jasmijn organizes, among other things:

  • More than 50 courses and workshops per year.
  • Projects around language, participation and work.
  • Health promotion and information activities.
  • Activities at our location on Floresstraat and in the neighborhoods.

Job tasks and duties

Your role as chair:
As chair, you provide direction to the board of Jasmijn. You lead the board meetings (6 to 8 times a year) and work together with the other board members and the director to realize our mission. You monitor the progress of strategic goals, and, together with the director, represent Jasmijn to external partners, such as grant providers and collaboration organizations.

Minimum education level: hbo/wo

Job skills and qualities

You bring:

  • Experience in coordinating processes and managing tasks within a board or organization.
  • A clear vision of inclusivity and emancipation.
  • Decisiveness and a results-oriented approach.
  • Knowledge of the social domain in Groningen (or can quickly master it).
  • Affinity with activation and participation of women.
  • An average of 5 to 10 hours per month of time and effort to further develop our organization and put it on the map.
