.Job tasks and duties
You will work as an accessibility project volunteer to identify and improve accessibility at the Hortus. Based on the existing analysis by Werkgroep Toegankelijkheid Groningen (WTG), you will draw up a concrete and executable plan. The plan may be broad. It is not just about paths or thresholds but also about signage, information provision and connection to the environment.
This could include:
- The access between Beatrixoord /Zinn and the Hortus.
- Signalling obstacles in terms of mobility, orientation and comprehension.
- You will work with mdeworkers and volunteers of the Bortus and coordinate with external partners such as care institutions, experience experts and other stakeholders.
Job skills and qualities
The volunteer we are looking for:
- Has experience with project-based work and/or accessibility projects.
- Can empathise well with the experience and (im)possibilities of the different target groups.
- Can make plans and can take them further within the organisation.
- Likes working with people inside and outside the organisation.
- Feels committed to a green and inclusive environment.
