Do you have a passion for putting events on the map? Do you know how to convey the right message to our visitors? Are you good at creating roadmaps for (larger) events? Then we are looking for you. We are looking for an (experienced) communications volunteer who wants to work with us to put the Hortus Botanicus' events on the map.
Job tasks and duties
As an event communication volunteer, you will put the Hortus and its activities in the spotlight! You will ensure that our events are visibly and attractively presented via social media and our website. From creating posts to writing inspiring texts and choosing appealing images. You know how to tell a story that moves people.
You will work with events and communications team to creatively promote every activity from Plant Markets to Open Days. Thanks to your efforts, more and more people know how to find their way to the Hortus.
Minimum education level: mbo
Job skills and qualities
The employee:
- Has a passion for (digital) communication and knows how to communicate a story attractively.
- Thinks about how to make our events even more visible.
- Is proactive, independent and enjoys working together in a team.
- Has experience with social media and possibly with tools like Canva and Wordpress (advantage, not a requirement).
