Are you passionate about promoting events? Do you know how to convey the right message to our visitors? Are you skilled at creating actionable plans for (larger) events? Then we're looking for you. We're seeking an (experienced) communications volunteer to help us promote Hortus Botanicus events.
Job tasks and duties
As an events communications volunteer, you'll showcase the Hortus and its activities! You'll ensure our events are presented visibly and attractively through social media and our website. From creating posts to writing inspiring texts and selecting striking images, you know how to tell a story that moves people.
You'll collaborate with the events and communications team to creatively promote every activity, from plant markets to open days. Thanks to your efforts, more and more people are finding their way to the Hortus.
Minimum education level: mbo
Job skills and qualities
The employee:
- Has a passion for (digital) communication and knows how to tell a compelling story.
- Thinks along about how we can make our events even more visible.
- Is proactive, independent, and enjoys working in a team.
- Has experience with social media and potentially with tools like Canva and WordPress (preferred, not required).
