Groningen HartVeilig is committed to a heart-safe environment in the city and region of Groningen.
We coordinate citizen emergency response, maintain a network of AEDs, and provide information and training in CPR.
Our organization is largely run by volunteers who, together, make life-saving work possible.
Job tasks and duties
As treasurer, you are responsible for the financial affairs of Groningen HartVeilig.
You are a member of the board and actively contribute to the organization's direction and continuity.
What will you do?
- Manage the financial administration.
- Prepare the (annual) budget and the annual financial report.
- Be responsible for income, expenditure, and grant applications.
- Advise the board on financial decisions.
- Pay invoices and expense claims.
- Maintain contact with grant providers, donors, and the accountant.
Minimum education level: hbo/wo
Job skills and qualities
What do we require?
- Affinity with finance and/or experience as a treasurer or in bookkeeping.
- Accuracy, reliability, and an independent work ethic are required.
- Willingness to dedicate approximately 4–6 hours per month to this position.
- Resident in (the Groningen region).
- Experience with Excel or accounting software is a plus.
