Interesting about this job
COC Groningen & Drenthe actively promotes a diverse and inclusive society. We connect the rainbow movement and advocate for emancipation, acceptance, and equal rights for LGBTQ+ people in the provinces of Groningen and Drenthe. Through its working groups, COC reaches a wide variety of target groups, from transgender youth to LGBTQ+ seniors, and from people with disabilities to LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and newcomers. We also maintain regular contact with municipalities and other advocacy groups in the northern provinces. We contribute to discussions on, for example, youth and senior citizen policies, safety, and how to promote tolerance towards the LGBTQ+ community.
COC Groningen & Drenthe is managed by a volunteer board, staffed by more than sixty volunteers who form the heart of the organization and organize meetings and activities for various target groups in working groups.
