Job tasks and duties
What will you be doing?
In the Move Maatje project, you'll volunteer to guide a year 8 student through the exciting transition to secondary school. Together, you'll embark on a journey of discovery:
- What types of schools are there?
- Which one is best for me?
- What are the differences between primary and secondary education?
- And what should I bring to my first day of school?
In six fun and interactive lessons, you and your buddy will get to know each other, complete assignments, and explore the world of secondary education together.

We are looking for students who:
- Want to gain experience working with children.
- Are enthusiastic, independent, creative, and proactive.
- Take responsibility for the project.
Extra information
Practical Information
- Period: October through December/January (start date negotiable).
- Guidance: You will receive training beforehand and will be guided throughout the process by the project coordinator.
- Location: at the child's school, home, or at the Move office in Groningen.
- Flexible scheduling: lesson times are coordinated by the student and pupil.
