This together with a group of enthusiastic volunteers who bring children in contact with nature under the motto "the youth has the future". Nature is not only important for children, but children are also important for nature.
Job tasks and duties
Preparing and supporting nature activities of children aged 6 to 12. E.g. ditch days, picking owl pellets and bat spotting.
We meet about 4 times a year at the IVN office in Groningen. We also organise nature activities 6x a year at different locations, usually Saturday afternoons 14:00 - 16:00.
We also work at the request of other (nature) organisations.
Job skills and qualities
- Knowledge of nature: basic knowledge of plants, animals, ecosystem is useful to enrich the activities.
- Enthusiastic and open:passion for nature and convey it to the children to inspire them to discover and protect nature.
- Teamwork:collaborate with other volunteers to ensure activities run smoothly.
- Communication:be able to communicate clearly with participants, volunteers and other stakeholders.
- Child-centred: experience in dealing with and supervising children
You are or will become a member of IVN Groningen Haren.
