As a volunteer at Toddler dance, you'll bring a moment of joy and connection to children aged 2 to 4 and their parents. With songs like "The Wheels on the Bus" and dances featuring cheerful movements, you'll help children explore, move, and have fun. At the same time, you'll create a warm atmosphere where parents feel welcome.
Job tasks and duties
Together with a professional from the WIJ team, you will organize Toddler Dance every Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Rivierenhof 98 in Groningen. Starting in December, a different location will be found for this activity. Your responsibilities include:
- Dancing, singing, and moving with toddlers to familiar nursery rhymes.
- You will give the children and their parents a warm welcome.
- You will provide interactive guidance: moving along, encouraging, and having fun.
- You will create a pleasant, cheerful, and safe atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable.
- You will prepare the songs and materials and clean up after the activity.
- You will ensure the privacy of the children and their parents.
Job skills and qualities
- Someone with a passion for young children (ages 2 to 4).
- You are enthusiastic, energetic, and engaged.
- You are hospitable and sociable: you welcome children and parents with a smile.
- You are available every Wednesday morning.
- Experience with toddlers is helpful, but not required.
