Monument & Materiaal was established as a foundation in 1983.
Its objectives are:
- To acquire, temporarily store, and make available for reuse old building materials in the three northern provinces.
- To contribute to the development of archaeological research in the municipality of Groningen.
- To organize publications, lectures, and exhibitions in the field of cultural history.
We are looking for a volunteer to help spread our message. You will create engaging content on social media, write texts for our website and newsletters, and support us with some office tasks. Do you also have a driver's license? Then you can also occasionally help transport old building materials.

Job tasks and duties
- Create posts and content for Facebook, the website, and newsletters.
- Help promote our mission and materials.
- Manage email and phone calls (during office hours).
- Schedule appointments and welcome visitors.
- Occasionally deliver or collect materials with our electric van (not required).
Minimum education level: havo/vwo
Job skills and qualities
- Creative writing and experience with word processing and design.
- Knowledge of social media and digital communication.
- Affinity for sustainability and the reuse of authentic old building materials.
- Available at least one day per week (two half-days).
