Monument & Material was established as a foundation in 1983.
The objectives are:
- To acquire, temporarily store and make available for reuse old building materials in the three northern provinces.
- Cooperating in the elaboration of archaeological research in the municipality of Groningen.
- Providing publications, lectures and exhibitions in the field of cultural history.
We are looking for a volunteer to help get our story out into the world. You will provide catchy content on social media, write texts for our website and newsletters and support with some office tasks. In addition, do you have a driving licence? Then you can also occasionally help transport old building materials.

Job tasks and duties
- Creating posts and content for Facebook, the website and newsletters.
- Help in promoting our mission and materials.
- Manage mail and phone (during office hours).
- Schedule appointments and receive visitors.
- Incidentally bring or pick up materials with our electric bus (is not a must).
Minimum education level: havo/vwo
Job skills and qualities
- Creative pen and experience with word processing and design.
- Knowledge of social media and digital communication.
- Affinity with sustainability and reuse of authentic old building materials.
- At least 1 day per week ( 2 half-days) available.
