Providing support and being a reassuring presence for the person accompanying you. Possibly help with filling in forms or administration needed for the hospital visit. Sharing information with caregivers, if necessary. Communicating clearly and empathetically. Empathising with the person's feelings and needs. Moving quickly in case of unplanned changes. Being able to assist with wheelchairs or other mobility aids.
With these tasks and skills, you can play a valuable role in accompanying someone to the hospital.
Minimum education level: mbo
Job skills and qualities
- Has affinity with the elderly target group
- Representative, has a good command of the Dutch language and strong communication skills
- Has an empathetic and patient attitude towards residents
- Able to drive wheelchairs
