Job tasks and duties
As a volunteer sawmill worker, you'll help cut logs with the chainsaw, maintain the tools, and work with participants in the day program (without being responsible for their care). You'll be available one half-day per week and contribute to a safe and pleasant work environment in the wood splitting facility.
Job skills and qualities
Experience sawing logs.
Possession of a chainsaw certificate.
Ability to handle tools carefully and safely.
Good team skills.
Interested in and enjoy interacting with daycare participants.

This volunteer opportunity allows you to enjoy active outdoor activities, work with a friendly team, and interact with participants in day care. You'll directly contribute to their enjoyment and development, while further developing your own skills with saws and tool maintenance.
