Then the Repair Workshop in Lewenborg might be just the thing for you! We're looking for a volunteer who can serve as a host/hostess, handle registrations, and also has some handyman skills.
- You'll enjoy interacting with the other volunteers, neighborhood residents, and clients of 't Boegbeeld.
- You'll contribute to sustainability, social connection, and a wonderful initiative.
- You'll receive a volunteer contract and compensation.

Job tasks and duties
The Repair Workshop is open every Friday from 13:00 to 16:00 at Stadsboerderij 't Boegbeeld. Area residents of Lewenborg and surrounding neighbourhoods can drop by here with their broken appliances from home. Our volunteers will then do their best to repair them. Repairing is free of charge for residents, only any material costs will be charged.
As a host, you will welcome visitors and engage them in conversation. You sign them in and try to find out what is wrong with the item. You are open for a chat and make sure people leave in a positive mood. You also answer the phone and answer residents' questions. When it's quiet, you help with repairs yourself. The workshop has tools and work tables to repair the items brought in.
Job skills and qualities
- You are a strong sociable individual who interacts with other volunteers, clients of 't Boegbeeld, and residents.
- You enjoy talking to others.
- You are friendly when answering questions over the phone.
- You are interested in/passionate about trying to repair things.
- You are meticulous.
- You are available on Friday afternoons from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (holidays are possible, of course).
